The Year 2012

If you’ll allow me, I’d just like to introduce you all to a new feature I’ve started this year and will continue to feature in years to come, of which is an up-to-date page chronicling everything I’ve seen in theaters throughout the year in question along with my monthly viewing habits in the form of mini retrospectives. I’ve divided the reviews for each theatrical release into easily discernible categories, of which you can read more about here. Simple, I know, however I’d like to try and do my best in deterring you from wasting your hard-earned dollars at your local theater on the latest post-converted 3D atrocity, providing you feel we share a similar taste in film.

NOTE: If a particular film listed is categorized as having been released in 2011, it’s because it made its rounds on the international festival circuit, of which I’m certainly not a viable part of. If any one of these films received a theatrical release however, overseas or stateside, then I’ll classify that film as part of 2011’s canon rather than 2012’s.
